About the Book

Gender-based violence remains one of the most urgent and deeply entrenched challenges confronting societies across the world. This book—EGBVF Ending Gender-based Violence Fellowship: Cohort 2.0 | Event Outcome Report—brings together the collective learning, insights, and creative pedagogical outcomes of a rigorous three-month immersive program under IMPRI’s #WebPolicyLearning initiative.

The report captures the intellectual depth and interdisciplinary engagement that shaped the fellowship. Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and community-oriented research exercises, the program explored the historical, legal, institutional, and socio-cultural dimensions of gender-based violence in India. It foregrounds survivor-centric frameworks, gender-responsive governance, ethical approaches in forensic and medical practices, the role of community organisations, anti-trafficking measures, media sensitivity, and the evolving participation of men in addressing GBV.

This book documents analytical essays, reflections, and creative advocacy projects that emerged from the cohort—demonstrating how knowledge, dialogue, and participatory learning can catalyse transformative action.
