About the Author(s)

Dr Simi Mehta is the CEO and Editorial Director of IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute. She holds a PhD in American Studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and was a Fulbright Nehru Doctoral Research Fellow at Ohio State University, USA.

Prof Vibhuti Patel is the Visiting Distinguished Professor at IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi. She is currently Vice President of the Indian Association for Women’s Studies and a former professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Dr Arjun Kumar is the Director of the IMPRI Impact and Policy Research Institute, New Delhi. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

Priyanka Negi is a research intern at IMPRI.
